What we collect through this website, what we do with it, and what we don't do. Effective July 17, 2026.
Who we are
Seven Seas Fish Company Ltd. ("7 Seas", "we"), a wholesale seafood company at 12411 Vulcan Way, Richmond, BC. This policy covers the 7seas.ca website. Our retail store's website (7seasfishmarket.com) has its own practices.
What we collect, and why
The only personal information this site collects is what you type into our forms: your name, business name, email, phone number, and the details of your inquiry — such as your region, business type and products of interest on a wholesale inquiry, or your resume and work eligibility on a job application. We collect it for one reason: to respond to you and, where it leads somewhere, to serve you as a customer, supplier or candidate.
We don't collect anything you don't knowingly give us.
Where it goes
Form submissions are processed by our website host (Netlify) and recorded in our internal tracking spreadsheets (Google Workspace). Wholesale sales inquiries are also entered into our customer-relationship system (HubSpot) so the right salesperson can follow up. When you submit a form, you may receive an automatic confirmation email from us. These providers process data on our behalf; we don't sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, ever.
Job applications
Resumes and application details are used only for hiring, shared only with the people involved in hiring, and kept on file so we can contact you if a fitting role opens. Ask us to delete your application at any time.
Cookies and analytics
This site currently sets no advertising or marketing cookies and runs no third-party ad tracking. If we add website analytics to understand how the site is used, this policy will be updated to say so plainly.
How long we keep it
As long as it's useful for the purpose you gave it to us — an active business relationship, an open inquiry, or a candidate file — and no longer than we need to. If you'd like your information corrected or deleted, just ask.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and BC's PIPA), you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Reach us through the contact form or by phone at our Richmond office, and a real person will handle it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date. No retroactive surprises.
