Capabilities
Private label, co-manufacturing and co-packing.
Your brand, produced in our SQF-certified Richmond plant — on our own supply chain, not a broker's promise.
Private label programs
Your brand on proven products — we produce, pack and label under your name, from single SKUs to full seafood lines.
Co-manufacturing
Bring us a recipe or spec and we produce it at scale in our SQF-certified Richmond plant — fresh, frozen, smoked, ready-to-eat or ready-to-cook.
Co-packing
Already have product? We portion, pack and label it into the format your channel needs — retail-ready packs, foodservice cases or bulk.
Custom cuts & portioning
Exact-weight portions, custom trims and specs cut to your menu or planogram, consistent case after case.
New product development
Our product development bench takes ideas from concept to costed, shelf-ready product — recipe development, testing and iteration included.
Retail packaging & labelling
Compliant, retail-ready packaging and labelling — nutrition panels, bilingual requirements and barcodes handled.

One partner from source to shelf
Fish landed at our Homer facility, imported directly, processed in our own plant — sourcing, production and packaging answer to one team, not three vendors. Tell us where your product needs to end up, and we'll tell you honestly what it takes to get there.

Fewer handoffs mean straighter answers on cost and timing, and a product development bench — led by VP Production Olivier Grebert — that works with what's actually available in the water, not just what's in a catalogue. Programs run from regional grocery lines to national foodservice production.
Product development, led from the plant floor
New products here aren't designed in a boardroom — the development bench works steps from the line that will make your product. Recent proof: miso-marinated sablefish and steelhead in vacuum skin packs, and sockeye burgers built as patties and bulk formats.
Define
Commercial brief, product and format definition, ingredient and supply review — what it is, who buys it, what it has to cost.
Develop
Sample development and iteration, costing and packaging review, QA and labelling requirements — tasted, priced and spec'd before it scales.
Deliver
Pilot production and launch planning — the path flexes with the project, but it always ends in a product our plant can repeat.
Tell us about your project
A few details and the right people — production, product development or both — will be in the first conversation with you.
Private label questions, answered
What's the difference between private label, co-manufacturing and co-packing?
Private label puts your brand on products we already make. Co-manufacturing means we produce your recipe or specification at scale. Co-packing means you have product and we portion, pack and label it into the format your channel needs. Plenty of programs combine all three.
What minimum volumes are required?
It depends on the product and format — a retail-ready pack program and a bulk foodservice item have very different economics. Bring us your target volumes and we'll tell you honestly whether the math works.
Can 7 Seas help develop a new product?
Yes — product development is led by our VP Production from the plant floor: commercial brief, sample development, costing and packaging review, QA and labelling requirements, then pilot production and launch planning.
What packaging formats are available?
Vacuum packing, IQF, retail bags, jars, vacuum skin packaging for selected programs — and retort processing for shelf-stable products — with retail labelling, bilingual requirements and barcodes handled in-house.
